CHARLES CRINIERE AND FAMILY TRAGEDY AND TRUST A Family of Faith Remembering their Father with a Message of Great Hope HEAR THE STORY Charles Derek Criniere 1978-2022 Charles died suddenly on August 27, 2022, when he was hit by a car while on a bicycle, leaving behind his wife and 10 children, 9 of whom are still at home. He was a devoted husband and father who deeply loved his family. Now the Criniere family is left in what seems like an impossible situation. However, the community is responding in amazing ways and the family is carrying a message of great hope! Charles was a graffiti artist on the streets of Chicago until his faith in Jesus radically changed his life. He was a Deacon at Grace Point Baptist Church and a beloved public school teacher in Grandview, Missouri. However, Charlie was blessed with 44 wonderful years which is less than most but more than others. The reality is that all of us will face the grave one day. When Charlie was a young man he encountered Jesus Christ who radically changed his life. Since that day Charlie's greatest joy was to share the good news of Jesus Christ who is offering eternal life to all who will respond! We immediately wanted to do something because we knew that if the tables were turned, Charlie would do something extraordinary for any of our families family. 8 years ago Charlie and Megan bought a humble home in Kansas City to do life with their 10 kids. The house needed work when they moved, and they tried to do some renovations here and there to make it into a good living space for their growing family. However, they never made it very far down their list on their budget. Charlie was a dedicated public school teacher to impact the next generation, not to make a big bank account. However, just a few weeks before Charlie died, he was getting really serious about getting some projects done around the house! He had numerous contractors over giving estimates, and Megan and he were again dreaming together of what could be. But then tragedy struck... Over the last six months we have seen nothing short of a miracle. over 20 companies have donated materials and labor worth well over $150k! It has been an extraordinary display of God's love being poured onto a grieving family through the hard work of willing individuals.
